Arcade Terms of Use

The short version (for kids): Pet Love Arcade is free. Be kind, play fair, and don't try to break or copy the games. Paw Coins and prizes are just for fun and are never sold. If you are under 13, have a grown-up read these rules with you.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Pet Love Arcade (the "Arcade") is the free games area of petlovearcade.com, run by Pet Love ("we", "us"). These Arcade Terms of Use cover the games, Pet World, My Pet and My Pup, the Prize Shop, Paw Coins and anything else in the Arcade. Buying products in our shop is covered by our store Terms of Service, Refund Policy and Shipping Policy. By playing, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Arcade.

2. Who can play

The Arcade is free and open to everyone, including kids. No account and no personal information are needed to play.
Players under 13 (or the age of digital consent where they live) should play with a parent or guardian's permission. Parents: please see our Kids' Privacy page.
Shopping, checkout and email sign-ups are for adults. Kids should ask a parent before buying anything.

3. Play nice: house rules

Be kind in Pet World. Multiplayer is optional and only shares pets, emotes and preset phrases. There is no free chat.
Don't cheat, hack, scrape, overload, reverse-engineer or interfere with the Arcade, and don't use bots or scripts to earn Paw Coins.
Don't copy, re-upload, sell or put our games, characters or art on other websites or apps without our written permission.
Don't use the Arcade for anything illegal, harmful or hurtful.

We may reset scores or Paw Coins, or block access, if these rules are broken.

4. Our games, characters and art

The games, code, characters (including Pip the pup), art, sounds, names, logos and text in the Arcade are original works owned by Pet Love or used under license. The few open-source tools we use are listed on our Credits & Licenses page. You may play the games and share links to them. All other rights are reserved. "Pet Love" and "Pet Love Arcade" are our brand names.

Our games are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any other game company or brand. Any similarity in gameplay style to other games reflects common game genres only.

5. Paw Coins and prizes

Paw Coins, tickets, Pup Points, plush prizes and Pip looks are free, earned only by playing, and saved on your device. They have no cash value, can never be bought, sold, traded or swapped for money, and are not your property. See the Prize Rules for details.

6. Things you make

Some games let you make things, like a pet photo or a built world. These stay on your own device. We don't upload or collect them. Please don't put anyone's real name, face or personal details into anything you share.

7. Copyright complaints

We respect other people's creative work. If you believe something in the Arcade uses your copyrighted work or trademark without permission, please follow our Copyright & Trademark Complaints process.

8. No guarantees

The Arcade is provided free, "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it fun and working, but we don't promise it will always be available, error-free or that scores, coins or progress will never be lost (for example, if you clear your browser data). We can change, add or remove games and features at any time.

Please take breaks, play somewhere safe, and stop if you feel unwell. Some games have flashing effects or fast motion. If you or your child has a history of seizures, talk to a doctor before playing.

9. Limits on our responsibility

To the fullest extent the law allows, Pet Love will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the Arcade, and our total responsibility for any claim about the free Arcade will not exceed US $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer laws that can't be waived.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
