For kids: the simple version

  • 🎮 You can play every game without telling us your name, email, age or where you live. We never ask.
  • 💾 Your scores, Paw Coins and pet looks are saved only on your own device, not sent to us.
  • 🚫 There are no ads that follow you around, and we switch tracking off on the Arcade.
  • 👥 In Pet World, playing with others is off unless you turn it on. You can only send emotes and friendly preset phrases. There is no chat, and nobody can see your name.
  • 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Never share your real name, school, address, phone number or photos online. If something online makes you feel uncomfortable, tell a grown-up.

For parents and guardians

Pet Love Arcade is designed so children can play without giving us any personal information. We follow the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and aim to meet the EU/UK GDPR rules for children and the UK Age Appropriate Design Code (Children's Code). This page explains how the Arcade (the free games, Pet World, My Pet, My Pup and the Prize Shop) handles information. Our main Privacy Policy covers shopping and the rest of the site.

What we do NOT collect from players

No accounts, names, usernames, emails, phone numbers, photos, voice, precise location, birthdays or contact lists. The Arcade has no free-text chat and no sign-up forms. We have removed email sign-ups from all game pages, and the store chat and marketing pop-ups are switched off on Arcade pages.

What is stored on your child's device

Game progress (best scores, Paw Coins, unlocked looks, daily quests, settings such as sound on/off) is saved in the browser's local storage on the device. It is not sent to us and it isn't linked to a person. You can delete it at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser settings.

Advertising and analytics

  • As soon as an Arcade or info page loads, our site records a "no tracking" choice with Shopify's privacy tools. This switches off marketing and analytics pixels (for example social-media ad pixels and email-marketing tracking) and their cookies for that visitor. We do not show behavioral ads to children, and we do not sell or share children's information.
  • Like every website, our hosting provider (Shopify) automatically processes technical data such as IP address and browser type to deliver pages, keep the site secure and prevent fraud. This is used only to run the site (what COPPA calls "support for internal operations"), not to build profiles.
  • Strictly necessary cookies (for example a shopping cart or language setting) may still be set.

Pet World multiplayer (optional, off by default)

If a player turns on "Play with friends", their browser connects directly to other players' browsers (peer-to-peer) so pets can appear together. Only the pet's look, position, emotes and a fixed list of friendly phrases are shared. Names are random (like "Sunny Otter") and there is no free chat. Because the connection is direct, other players' devices could technically see the connecting device's IP address (a network address, not a name or home address). A free public connection service (PeerJS) helps players find each other. Kids are asked to check with a grown-up first, and multiplayer can be turned off at any time. If you prefer, keep it off: Pet World works fully without it.

Things kids make

Pet photos, dress-ups and built worlds are created on the device. We don't upload them.

Contact form, shopping and newsletters

Our contact form, checkout and newsletter are meant for adults. If we learn that we have received personal information from a child under 13 (or under the age of digital consent in their country) without a parent's consent, we will delete it. A parent can contact us through our contact page to ask what we hold about their child, have it deleted, or stop any further collection. We will never require a child to give more information than needed to play.

Our design promises (Children's Code)

  • High privacy by default: tracking off on the Arcade, multiplayer off until switched on.
  • No profiling of children, no location tracking and no selling of data.
  • Paw Coins and prizes are free and can never be bought. There are no loot boxes or paid chances to win. See the Prize Rules.
  • No pressure tactics designed to get children to give up privacy.

Changes and contact

If we ever plan to collect personal information from children (for example accounts or chat), we will update this page first and ask for verifiable parental consent where the law requires it. Questions or requests: please use our contact page and mention "Kids' privacy". The operator of this site is Pet Love, California, USA.
